Sutra 42 - Liver Care

Liver performs over a 100 critical functions. One of the most important function is breaking down fats. A healthy liver has a huge dividend for good health. Include garlic in your cooking whenever you can. You can also choose to take a clove of garlic at night before going to bed. Do this for a month and see if there is a visible difference to your digestion and especially in managing your weight.

Another great product I recommend is Liv 52, a liver health tonic from Himalaya Drug House.

The third and the most common herb for liver care that is commonly available in the South is Phyllanthus Niruri or Keezharnelli in Tamil. If you find the herb, just pick a few leaves and start chewing.
